Description of Walk

Starting at Pont Cyfyng, our mid level walk takes a forest track away from Moel Siabod before following a river up to Llyn y foel and a view of  Daer Ddu, the black ridge, which leads to the summit of Moel Siabod (872m/2880 feet). After enjoying the views of this glacial cwm, we continue our walk back through some of Snowdonia's slate mine history, before meeting back up with Pont Cyfyng at the start again. This is a route which will give you a taste of the mountains without venturing too far into them!
