Description of Walk

Starting at Pont Cyfyng, our mountain walk takes a forest track away from Moel Siabod before following a river up to Llyn y foel and our first view of  Daer Ddu, the black ridge. We follow this ridge up to the summit of Moel Siabod (872m/2877 feet), which on clear days has great views into the main mountain ranges of Northern Snowdonia. From the summit we follow the west ridge down to the Pen-y-Gwyryd hotel, where the Everest `53 team stayed when training for their successful expedition.
