Description of Walk

Starting from Castell Dolwyddelan, an original Welsh castle, we head into the village of Dolwyddelan, following part of an old Roman road, “Sarn Helen” that ran from Caerhun in the North to Trawsfynnydd in the south of Snowdonia during Roman times. This takes us through forest and the old village of Rhiwddolion, before heading down to the Afon Llugwy and then returning to Betws-y-Coed along the riverbank.
